He married Elizabeth WHITFELD in England, ABT 1614. Elizabeth was born in Tenterden, Kent, England 1588.

John EDWARDS and Elizabeth WHITFELD had the following child:

2 i. Mary² EDWARDS was born in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A. 1615. Mary died 7 December 1693 in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A., at 78 years of age. She married Francis BROWN in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A., CA 1636. Francis was born in Ratcliffe, Yorkshire, England CA 1610. Francis died 13 April 1668 in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A., at 57 years of age. (See Francis BROWN for the continuation of this line.)
